FALLS

Collaboration with Mark Louque

In the winter of 2014 I set out to make the installation FALLS with a performative element: a procession, or more scripted play. On the Cape, I met Mark Louque, a DJ and sound artist living there, and we began a collaboration in my studio at the Fine Arts Work Center.  We began by using materials and processes that I used in my art practice on each others bodies. From these interactions he created a soundscape which became the first of six installations we built to fill the Hudson D. Walker Gallery at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Our performance was closed, and the audience was invited in to see the aftermath of our interaction with the space and each other.
